1. Introduction & Purpose

1.1 These Terms & Conditions are intended to create clarity, mutual understanding, and trust between The Golden Spiral International School of Homeopathy Ltd (“GSISH”, “we”, “us”) and our students (“you”).

1.2 GSISH approaches its relationship with students in good faith, with care, respect, and a shared commitment to learning, growth, and professional development. These Terms exist to ensure transparency around expectations, responsibilities, and the structure of our programmes.

2. Definitions

  • Course – the programme of study you enrol on, whether delivered online, in person, or via livestream.

  • Services – teaching, learning materials, live and recorded sessions, learning platforms, and associated educational support.

  • Fees – the total programme fee, whether paid in full or by instalments.

  • Commencement Date – the date you accept these Terms & Conditions.

3. Enrolment & Contract Formation

3.1 Enrolment forms a legally binding agreement between you and GSISH.

3.2 The agreement comes into effect when you:

  • Confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions (for example, by ticking a checkbox or signing a form), or

  • Make any payment toward the Course.

3.3 Acceptance of these Terms occurs before access to learning materials is provided.

3.4 By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions;

  • You have had the opportunity to ask questions before enrolling;

  • You are choosing to enrol with full awareness of the commitments involved.

4. Nature of the Programme

4.1 Enrolment represents a commitment to the full Course, rather than a series of individual classes.

4.2 Where instalment plans are offered, these are provided to support cash flow and accessibility and do not change the total Fees payable.

4.3 Choosing not to attend, withdrawing part-way through, or experiencing changes in personal circumstances does not alter the nature of this commitment.

5. Course Delivery & Flexibility

5.1 GSISH is committed to delivering a high-quality learning experience and may make reasonable adjustments to:

  • Course content

  • Teaching schedules

  • Tutors or guest contributors

  • Delivery methods or venues

where needed to maintain educational quality or respond to circumstances beyond our control.

5.2 Courses may be delivered online, in person, via livestream, or in a blended format.

5.3 Where in-person delivery is not possible, teaching may be moved online.

5.4 Such adjustments do not give rise to a right to a refund.

6. Learning Experience & Student Expectations

6.1 GSISH’s Learning Experience & Expectations Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and is intended to support a respectful, nourishing, and effective learning environment.

6.2 Students are expected to:

  • Engage thoughtfully with learning materials and activities;

  • Maintain a minimum of 80% attendance at live sessions;

  • Complete required coursework and assessments;

  • Treat fellow students, tutors, and staff with kindness, respect, and professionalism;

  • Follow GSISH policies, codes of conduct, and community guidelines.

6.3 Where expectations are not met, GSISH may offer guidance, support, or, where necessary, restrict participation, suspend access, or bring enrolment to an end. Such actions do not give rise to a refund.

7. Online Learning & Community Care

7.1 Students agree to uphold confidentiality and respectful communication within all learning spaces.

7.2 Course discussions may involve personal and sensitive material. Students agree to protect the privacy of others at all times.

7.3 Recording or sharing course content without permission is not permitted.

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

8.1 Personal and sensitive information shared during the Course is treated as confidential.

8.2 GSISH processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection law and its published Privacy Notice.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 All course materials remain the intellectual property of GSISH or its licensors.

9.2 Students are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for educational purposes only.

9.3 Materials may not be copied, shared, recorded, or distributed.

10. Fees & Payment

10.1 Fees are payable in accordance with the Payment Schedule provided at enrolment.

10.2 Fees are payable in full, whether paid upfront or by instalments.

10.3 Instalment plans are offered as a convenience. If instalments are cancelled or missed, the remaining balance becomes payable.

10.4 Access to learning materials, progression, and certification are conditional on Fees being paid in full.

11. Booking accommodation & lunches (in-person students only)

11.1 The venue can provide both accommodation, meals and lunches. The food provided is vegetarian, with vegan and gluten free options. If you choose to book accommodation or meals during the live weekends, it is your responsibility to arrange this, whether it is at Emerson College or elsewhere. Emerson College is a busy venue, and cannot guarantee the availability of rooms, so it is advisable to book this as soon as you know that you need it.

11.2 The GSISH is not liable for any issues a student may have or incur with its accommodation whether at Emerson College or any other place.

11.3 Bookings for Emerson College can be made with using the bookings link provided on enrolment.

11.4 Teas and coffees for those attending in person at Emerson College are available free of charge from the kitchen. A cafe is available to all students where you can purchase additional drinks, snacks, or you are welcome to bring your own.

12. Attendance in-person

12.1 If you have signed up for in-person attendance, it is important that you attend in person unless there is a serious reason for you not to do so (eg illness). This is to ensure that we have a large group that supports the learning processes of all the group, particularly when taking part in family constellations and clinics.

13. Attendance via livestream

13.1 If you mainly attend via livestream, you are welcome to join us in person also when you can.

13.2 The School will do everything in its power to ensure a strong internet connection, able to livestream to you. We cannot however guarantee a connection if there are circumstances outside of our control that affect the internet connection.

13.3 You are responsible for ensuring that you have a connection strong enough to livestream the event clearly for you, so that you can most easily learn, as much as it is in your power to do so.

13.4 Please keep your cameras on, and ensure you are in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. This is important for your learning, as well as the learning and enjoyment of other students. Attendance via livestream is required for the whole weekend.

13.5 By signing these Terms & Conditions, you agree to follow the Online Community Guidelines.

14. Cancellation & Refunds (Statutory Rights)

14.1 As a general rule, and except where required by law, course Fees are not refundable once enrolment has been accepted.

14.2 This includes situations where a student:

  • Changes their mind;

  • Withdraws from the Course;

  • Is unable to attend;

  • Experiences personal or health-related changes.

Statutory Cooling-Off Period

14.3 Where applicable under consumer protection law, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days of acceptance, provided that:

  • The Course has not started; and

  • You have not accessed any learning materials, teaching, or platforms.

14.4 By accessing course materials or attending teaching within this period, you request early performance of the Services and acknowledge that any statutory right to cancel is waived.

Discretion

14.5 Any refund offered by GSISH is entirely discretionary, made in good faith, and does not create a precedent or contractual entitlement.

15. Deferment

15.1 GSISH recognises that life circumstances may change. Requests to defer may be considered compassionately and on a case-by-case basis.

15.2 Deferment does not entitle a student to a refund, and Fees applicable at the time of resumed study will apply.

16. Ending Enrolment

16.1 GSISH may bring enrolment to an end where necessary to protect the learning environment, safety, or integrity of the Course.

16.2 Ending enrolment does not give rise to a refund.

17. Liability

17.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded.

17.2 GSISH’s total liability is limited to the Fees paid.

18. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

GSISH is not responsible for delays or changes caused by events outside reasonable control.

19. Governing Law & International Students

19.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, reflecting GSISH’s location and regulatory environment.

19.2 GSISH warmly welcomes students from around the world. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.

19.3 Subject to clause 16.2, disputes may be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions represent the entire agreement between you and GSISH and replace any previous agreements or understandings.

Acceptance

By enrolling, making payment, or participating in any part of the Course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
